Nikon introduces the Z6III

Nikon has announced the latest addition to their Z series, the Nikon Z6 III. This camera will be officially unveiled on June 17, 2024, and promises significant improvements for both photographers and videographers.

  • New Sensor and Processor: The Z6 III features a 24.5MP backside-illuminated (BSI) sensor and is powered by the Expeed 7 processor, enhancing low-light performance and dynamic range.
  • Advanced Autofocus: The autofocus system has been upgraded with up to 297 points covering nearly the entire frame, ensuring more accurate focusing.
  • Excellent Video Capabilities: The camera supports internal recording up to 6K 60p and 4K 120p, and offers N-RAW and ProRes RAW recording for greater post-production flexibility.
  • Brightest EVF: The electronic viewfinder of the Z6 III has a brightness of 4000 nits, making it the brightest EVF from Nikon, ideal for use in bright sunlight.
  • Enhanced Connectivity: Features like direct-to-cloud connectivity, HDMI, USB-C, and wireless options make the Z6 III designed for seamless file transfer and remote control.

Price and availability

The expected price of the Nikon Z6 III is around €3,000 in Europe. The model is anticipated to be available by mid-July, with possible discounts on the Z6 II to make way for the new model.
